Submitting a Web Site

Most of the pages now added to FlightLand.Net have been received through owner submission. Please be patient if you have submitted a site, and if it has been a long while don't be afraid to resubmit. Strong spam filtering has, in the past, thrown out good sites. Submit Related Sites!

Submitting Someone Elses Site

General Guidelines for Submitting Your Own Site

• Only aviation related sites are accepted into Aviation Links on FlightLand.Net.
  
  
• Aviation Links at Flightland.Net is for everyone, sites with obscene content and profanities will not be accepted.
  
  
• The Internet Content Rating Association (ICRA) has a labeling system you can check your site content with the ICRA site tester.
  
  
• The only exception to no violent content are sites containing aircraft accident and safety information for educational purposes, however if you feel your site fits this description please indicate so, with a short explanation.
  
  
• Inlude the name of your site, if you havent named it, consider doing so it will give it a stronger pressence and allow easier reference by others.
  
  
• If you have a description of your site include it, if you have a short and long description include both. While it may not be used verbatum, it helps.
  
  
• Indicate what category is most appropriate to make integration easier.
  
  
• If a web site fits many categories ask for them in order from most fitting/important down to least fitting/important.
  
  
• If there are no fitting categories the "More Sites" section can work, don't be afraid to suggest a new category. There are a few planed categories that just dont have enough sites to warrant creating yet, but are planned in the future.
  
  
• All new additions will be listed at the What's New page, check here first to see if it has been accepted, if you can't find it in any category check the More Aviation Sites page.
  
  
• Indicate if you have included a link or banner to FlightLand.Net from your site. (placing the link and deleting after you get accepted is a frequent practice, don't do it. Your better off submitting without a reciprocal link if you want to have a permanent place on FlightLand.Net.)
  
  
• Be patient some sites wait weeks or even months, and in a few cases years to get added. Submitting a site 5 times a day won't get you accepted anytime sooner.
  
  
• If your site moves to a new URL, don't submit it as a new site, simply as to update the site address.
